I am very excited to share that one of my wall-hanging quilts has been accepted to a highly competitive, curated show at the Rocky Neck Art Colony called A Visual Feast.

My piece “Mandarin Magic” was created from over 30 Chinese Silks. It measures 35″x 35″

Here is a small detail to give you a sense of the level of artistry and hand-sewing that is included in this quilt. I made it several years ago and it hands on my wall now because it is so precious.

The opening for this show is August 4 at the Rocky Neck Cultural Center.

This quilt measures 110 x 110.

I enjoyed adding some red fabrics in the middle of this quilt that is mostly blue which is my favorite colors to work with.

This blog will be spending this summer updating photos and videos on our new litter of Lap Pups 2015.  7 pups: 2 choc male; 1 black male; 1 choc female; 3 black female.

Despite our horrible winter and non-existent spring, this majestic plant always finds a way to bloom Memorial Day Weekend. 

I really enjoy going to thrift shops to find men’s shirts for their fabric. I’ve developed a new square pattern that varies light and dark to create a new ensemble piece.
Very unique. Very one of a kind.

I always enjoy playing with the Log Cabin pattern in new ways.
Just by rotating the square, a whole new pattern emerges. It’s more complicated than that and this one was a good challenge.

This quilt was a custom order. I worked with the buyer to pick out a color scheme they wanted.

I used really bright colors to make this quilt. This variation on the Log Cabin makes the quilt look like it was made from horizontal stripes, when in fact the pattern is built from sections around a black square.
