I am taking another departure from my usual colors and decided to play with more periwinkle pastels. Both my daughters think it is going to sell FAST. I shipped this one off to Newfane Country Store (VT) just last week – along with some others.

I need to take a break from William Morris. Blue always grounds me. I am enjoying how this quilt is coming together.
Baby Quilt: Penguin Pride
This one has some nice soft blues and a fun penguin fabric on back. Hand-stitched circles in the center of the log cabin blocks.

Well, people seem to really like my quilts with William Morris reproduction fabrics. I am making two more ! You can see how I am blocking out the pattern on my quilting wall. I am dreading the day I run out of these wonderful fabrics. They are so hard to find. Some came from my trip to the UK in 2001.
Cross Pollination
One of our guests in our Gloucester Quilter Apartment in VRBO loved the quilts upstairs so much, she decided to buy a custom one for her daughter as her high school graduation present. The daughter came down and pick out several fabrics she liked from my quilting room and I filled in the rest. Don’t you think this will make a great comfort quilt for her first year in college? It was fun working with such fun colors for a change.

More Lobster Potholders
I make two at a time. They are placed left-right to each other so you can see the back-side. You’re food will taste better if you cook with them!

I decided to use a Japanese style fabric pattern for the back to Eggplant and Olive. Now I am working on hand-quilting it.
Fun with Potholders
I’ve been playing with some old fabric that I used to use to make children’s quilts. Lots of playful colors and patterns. What fun!
